Reaching Out

When I am having a bad day, I have noticed I want to isolate. As mentioned in a previous blog, that is not what I do. I reach out to a friend, family member, or a FB group for people with mental illness (there are quite a few groups). I do this so I do not spiral down any further. I have spent most of my life in a deep, dark depression and I do not want to go back there. Being proactive when bad days happen, save me from having bad weeks, months, or years. We all deserve to be happy.

Reaching out to others is also a great way to check in. You do not have to talk about your bad day. You can talk about anything. Which makes it a great chance to distract.
