Overthinking

Ever get stuck in your head, overthinking thing? Second guessing yourself, analyzing every detail of a conversation or situation, unable to let go of the thoughts and relax?


This process is to help manage overthinking. Start by naming what it is that has you anxious or overwhelmed. Write down a list of the worries associated with it and allow yourself a set amount of time to feel worried. Acknowledge your feelings and accept them. Be gentle with yourself. Do not judge yourself harshly or compare yourself to others. You are your own unique person. Do some self-care as a distraction. Also practice relaxing your body and mind with activities like meditation, exercise, or listening to soothing music. Finally, let go of the idea of perfection and strive to be your best self every day.
