When you are struggling it is so hard to see the good things around you. It is not that you do not want to. Mental illness distorts our thoughts process making it hard to truly see things that are right in front of us.
I encourage you to make daily lists of the good things in life. The things you are grateful for. When we make a conscience effort to focus on the good around us, we start to realize how truly blessed we are.
I have found that by focusing on the good I am able to make healthier choices for myself, I am more levelheaded, less overwhelmed, and more likely to enjoy hobbies.
