I have noticed with depression it has been hard to care for my basic needs when I am struggling just to survive.
In "The Book I Wish I Had", I listed one hundred self-care techniques.
Every time I do a self-care technique, I am doing something to better myself. I know I am trying and every day I try to do better than the day before. Some days are hard, and I am gentle with myself on those days.
I have noticed the more skills I use, the better I feel.
**The picture is a few pieces I sculpted. I find the act of kneading clay to be a great way to reduce anxiety. Creating art has always been therapeutic for me.
